2025 Capacity expansion: Many new projects in the area of adhesive stacking as well as technology consulting have made it necessary to introduce a materials management system and increase staffing levels. A doubling of our production area is being planned and should be realized in 2025.
2024 Material tests : Due to the high demand for BAUER BondTech, the question arose as to the compatibility between the adhesive medium used and the C5 insulation layers between which the connection of individual lamellas to rotor and stator stacks takes place. In conjunction with customers as well as various electrical steel manufacturers, we carried out many bonding tests using our development press.
2023 Marketing of the BAUER BondTech adhesive stacking process: In 2023, we received our first orders for the manufacture and installation of adhesive stacking systems for customers in Europe and the USA. Due to the unexpectedly high demand, we have increased our personnel in the areas of technology, project management and sales.
2021-2022 Development of the BAUER BondTech adhesive stacking process : During the economically weak corona period, we developed the BAUER BondTech adhesive stacking process and demonstrated its functionality through many tests on our development press.
2020 Relocation of the company headquarters to Vaihingen/Enz : On 13.11.2020 we moved our company headquarters to Vaihingen/Enz. All activities of BAUER Lean-Engineering GmbH are now integrated under one roof. The adjacent laboratory, which we opened in 2019, will enable us to advance our own technological developments.
2020 Investment in a development press : New tool functionalities as well as new or optimised stacking processes must be tested under series production conditions. For this purpose, we have invested in a 250kN high-speed press which is able to reproduce process speeds of up to 1,200 strokes/min.
2020 BAUER BondTest as a separate product line : Test facility for the production of baked (baking varnish) and / or glued (by applying of an adhesive) test samples.
2019 Opening of our laboratory : additional market requirements have led to the fact that theoretical elaborations and developments must be confirmed by tests. In May 2019, we opened our laboratory at an additional location in Vaihingen/Enz.
2019 Establishment of BAUER Lean-Engineering GmbH : The continuously increasing requirements of our international customers have made it necessary to transform the individual company into a GmbH in January 2019 and at the same time to adapt the company name to our international business relations.
2018 Expansion of our product range to include tool and fixture design : Against the background of E-mobility, there was a demand for design solutions for the stamping process for lamination and stacks for electrical machines. With the appointment of a very experienced tool designer, we are able to implement even the most complex product requirements in tool designs.
2017 Opening of our office in Bietigheim Bissingen : In April 2017 we opened our office in Bietigheim-Bissingen, which offers us the possibility of growth in a central location, due to the steadily growing customer demand.
2016 Expansion of services : In developing highly efficient electric drives, especially in electromobility, requirements regarding dimensional accuracy are constantly being tightened. This immediately involves adaptation of manufacturing processes and development of innovative solutions. At the same time productive and administrative processes must be adapted to minimise wastage. It is here where Bauer Lean Consulting expanded its services to include themes of Innovation Consulting and Boosting Efficiency.
2016 Launch : An increasing demand from technical developers and managers in manufacturing and the automotive industry for competent leadership by expert consultants in processing electrical steels prompted Steffen Bauer to create BAUER Lean Consulting in January of 2016.
