2025 Staff expansion: Two project and development engineers have joined the team to handle research and development tasks.
2025 Capacity expansion: Numerous new projects in the field of adhesive packaging as well as technology consulting created the need to implement a materials management system and increase staffing. A doubling of our production space is planned and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
2024 Material Testing: Due to the high demand for BAUER BondTech, the question arose regarding the compatibility between the adhesive medium used and the C5 insulation layers, between which individual laminations are bonded into laminated stacks. In collaboration with customers as well as various electrical steel manufacturers, we conducted numerous adhesive bonding tests using our development press.
2023 Marketing of the BAUER BondTech adhesive lamination process: In 2023, we received our first orders for the manufacture and installation of adhesive lamination systems for customers in Europe and the U.S. Due to unexpectedly high demand, we expanded our staff in the areas of technology, project management, and sales.
2021–2022 Development of the BAUER BondTech adhesive packaging process: During the economically challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, we developed the BAUER BondTech adhesive packaging process and validated its functionality through extensive testing on our development press.
2020 Relocation of the company headquarters to Vaihingen/Enz: On November 13, 2020, we relocated our company headquarters to Vaihingen/Enz. This brings all activities of BAUER Lean-Engineering GmbH under one roof. The on-site laboratory, which we opened back in 2019, enables us to advance our own technological developments.
2020 Investment in a development press: New tool functionalities as well as new or optimized packaging processes must be tested under production conditions. To this end, we have invested in a 250 kN high-speed press capable of achieving process speeds of up to 1,200 strokes per minute.
2020 BAUER BondTest as a separate product line: Test facility for the production of baked (baking varnish) and/or bonded (by applying an adhesive medium) test specimens.
2019 Opening of our laboratory: Additional market requirements have made it necessary to validate theoretical designs and developments through testing. We addressed this need in May 2019 with the opening of our laboratory at an additional location in Vaihingen/Enz.
2019: Founding of BAUER Lean-Engineering GmbH: The ever-increasing demands of our international customers made it necessary to convert the sole proprietorship into a limited liability company (GmbH) in January 2019 and, at the same time, to adapt the company name to reflect our international business relationships.
2018: Expansion of services to include tool and fixture design: Against the backdrop of electromobility, there was a growing demand for design solutions related to the stamping process for laminations and stacks for electric machines. With the hiring of a highly experienced tool designer, we are now able to implement even the most complex product requirements in tool designs.
2017 Opening of our office in Bietigheim-Bissingen: Due to steadily growing customer demand, we opened our office in Bietigheim-Bissingen in April 2017, which, with its central location, offers us opportunities for growth.
2016 Expansion of Services: In the development of highly efficient electric drives, particularly for electric mobility, the requirements for dimensional accuracy and tolerances are constantly increasing. This necessitates adjustments to manufacturing processes as well as the development of innovative solutions. At the same time, suppliers’ production and administrative processes must be designed to operate with as little waste as possible. BAUER Lean Consulting’s consistent approach was to expand its services to include the areas of innovation consulting and efficiency improvement.
2016 Founding: BAUER Lean Consulting was founded in January 2016 by Steffen Bauer. The impetus was a growing demand from developers in the industrial and automotive sectors for technology consulting in the field of electrical sheet metal processing.
